motorcycle diaries..my take.

dear "kitty"...
(wtf..!! anne frank might sue me for this!!!)..
as mentioned in the prev post.. the first 100km run was done in the night..
and bengaluru is getting quite cold nowadays.. with night time temperatures touching 14 degrees (by indian stds.. tats COLD!!!)
anyways.. the thin pullover was painfully ineffective in keeping the cold out..
evidence being my waking up with a sore throat and aching body the next day..

its been over 5 days now.. n ive still got a bad throat and cough..
but that did not stop me from another 100km run.. but this time in the morning.

woke up at 6:00.. was ready to move by 6:30..
roll the classic out of my gate..and switch the electric start on..
KEEKEEKEE...(kapuiiiiiii!!!!)...
(whoa!!! wat was tat???)
look at the eng diagnosis LED.. alls ok)..
press the e-start again.. no response..
(hmmmm.. now what?)
decide to recycle the electric controls.. and try again..
again no response.. decide to wait for a couple of mins.. and tried again.. still no luck..
finally aftr abt 10 mins of unsuccessful attempts.. decide to chuck the e-start.. and used the kick-start..
(hahahahha.. easier said than done!)
10 tries.. and finally.. i get the engine running..
phew.. the clock shows 7..i push off..
ride's smooth.. the usual fog at bangalore airport..
got back home by 10.. this was a nonstop ride..
the plan being to gradually increase by riding tolerance..
this time.. i had less probs with the gear change on the bike.. i suspect its becuz im getting the hang of changing gears on this particular "bull".

my moment of pride:
on the way back.. i was at the this signal near NGEF layout.. and this guy on an enfield thunderbird comes up behind me.. admires the bike.. and then blows his horn to grab my attn.. i look around.. and he salutes me!
