a week well spent indeed!

been home in mumbai for the last 5 days..

20th nite:
aatli baatli phootli... (tats a mumbaikar game..i dont have the patience to explain)
the neat little paaji VS nair fight that i had taken a few days to set up.. and that suny brought to a lovely climax by claiming that it started because i called him a "pussy-cat"...
came to an end.. over a few drinks at Alfredo's and OTR..
ashok as always tried his best to play mediator.. Biji (being the sadist he always is).. just enjoyed the sledge fest.
next its ullaas' turn.. we're all waiting to pounce on him.

21st nite:
Ashok & khushboo's wedding anniversary at Red Box.
Alcohol...music...shameless pelvic thrusts..and himessss...
not to mention the "nagin" dance.. the "billo rani" dance.. the "disco dancer" routine..
n to top it all.. a red "dil shaped balloon"...
ps- appy budday paaji AND uullaass...

22nd nite:
4 friends..some alcohol.. and LOTS of fond memories..
nope.. this is not abt me..
Vishwan, Sasi, Ravi and Paul... the original 4 friends from the '80s..
Gem made me realize.. time is short..make the most of now..
since dad was coming down for a week too.. i thought it would be a great idea if i could get all 4 families to meet up again..
a couple of phone calls later.. a dinner was fixed at Sasi uncle's place..
Seeing our families together after so long.. and picking up exactly where we left off the last time we were all together..
priceless!
Vipin,Vrinda,Rupesh,Surya,Me,Adin,Jewel...the 2nd gen..AND the torch bearers..
hope we continue to be in touch like our fathers/mothers all these years..

22-23rd:
Real estate scouting.. found quite a few interesting options.. hmmm...

24th:
the wedding i took a leave to attend..

adin has been asking me to get him a new bike..was in malad at the suzuki showroon.. when i realised that HDS had told me tat the wedding was on tuesday.. so called him asking him the time..
HDS:"shaadi abhi khatam hua.. hum log lunch kar rahe hai"..

run over to meet roja..
ketan gifts me a personally autographed copy of Phoenix Philosophy's debut album..
(will hold onto it and auction it on ebay soon...)
roja cant blive i can be this absent minded..
i make up by being the 1st to turn up for the reception in the evening..(this time in clothes that were a tad better than a worn out tee and a torn pair of denims)
tiu unfortunately cannot be the butt of my "round" jokes anymore..(sigh)..

25th:
back to blr.. cut short my BOM trip.. as ive been survivin on combiflam the last few days.. the tootaches really bad now.. and the much dreaded visit to the dentist is due tday... (i hate dentists!!!)
in case i dont survive to tell this tale..i leave my all to the cute lady who lives across my building..
