holiday!!!

The last of the days im spendin in california...with my sis..
been takin a lot of rest.. eatin a lot of good food..( no reason for me to think otherwise.. n yet.. was surprised tat priya cooks quite well!)..did a lot of fun stuff...
welcome break from the routine flying.right from my flight tiks.. to every meal i had in cali....all thanks to sis and jeej for silently footing all my expenses for everything!

flew in last wednesday..

thursday: went to san francisco..golden gate bridge..worlds crookedest street...alcatraz...the lion-ebrities at pier 39...china town...( bought myself a very intersting chinese shirt..hehe).. and also was introduced to the french 'crepes'...

friday: caught up on indiana jones.. watched all 3 movies back to back!

saturday: skiing at bear valley...n needless to say..after 4 hrs of 'trying' to ski.. ( im losing track of the no of times i ended up on the snow with legs twisted and skis up in the air..sorry folks.. no photgraphic evidence of the same!) . poor priya cudnt join us as shes preparing for a marathon.. so she dint want to risk hurting herself.. while jeej was in full form... managed to even breeze thru a few advanced ski trails!
he managed to convince me to try 1 of them..Priya somehow dint seem too surprised to see me come walkin down the trail.. with the skis in my hand..

sunday was damage control time.. with both ski champs getting a reality check on how being in shape is a must for indulging in outdoor activities...jeej seemed to be doin far better.. urs truly was complaining of aching shoulders/back/arms...( funny.. isnt skiing done on legs.. i guess i used the afore mentioned parts more.. thanks to carryin the skis on my shoulder most of the time!)
sunday was also bollywood time.. caught the evenin show.."Eklavya"...like priya says.. AB is the only superstar in india.. who still gets movies written just FOR him.
ohh.. n the movie was good too..go watch it!!!

monday: 17 mile drive...a very scenic 17 mile drive along the coast of california...beau locales...national parks..super rich mansions...tres chic golf courses...all part of the drive...
the best part of the drive was the last bit.. ending in a quaint little town called carmel.. very touristy.. but lovely little town.. had a nice lunch..and then got back to civilization..visited Google's famed HQ... was a bit dissappointed....the 'awe n wonder' expected ..( for reasons still unknown to me).. failed to materialize...hehe.. wat did i expect neways??!! after all i just drove past the numerous buildings tat bore the familiar multicolored logo at 7:30 pm in the nite!!

tuesday: once again.. catch up day.. just lounged about.. went for a walk..watched a lot of tv.. and now.. writing this post..dinner later tnite with archana n sreeram.

tom: back to my world.. of cessna's and piper's... hate to admit it.. but miss flying!!!!
