solo!

hey folks.. i finally soloed!!!!
actually been confident of goin solo for the last week or so..
but the weathers not been too kind.. and under existing weather conditions.. both my instructor n i was hesitant to let the solo happen..
but tday...( its a sunday tday.. n its 6:25pm in the evenin right now)..
i came at 3 pm to the school and found our chief flight instructor Scott and decided to fly with him.. as luck wud have it.. the winds were finally favorable tday..
so i requested him to fly with me.. n if i did ok.. then to sign me off on a solo!!!
we did abt 3 touch n gos together.. n he said.. lets just stop for a while.. the skies are gettin too crowded.. too many ppl in the pattern..
i slowed down.. taxied off the runway.. and was waiting for a gap to open up in the traffic pattern to take off.. when suddenly he says.. 'when u take off alone..be careful to use less throttle while climbing as the aircraft will be a whole lot lighter without me!'.. n with tat he just jumped off the aircraft and said best of luck!!!
hehe.. i did feel a bit nervous.. but since ive been preparing for this for quite a loooooong time now.. the whole proces of flying a pattern had become a mechanical process for me.. and the rest as they say.."is history"..

did 3 touch n go's... and one final full stop landing..
to cut a long story short.. i finally soloed!
and now.. the pace of my flight training will hopefully pick up...will keep u all posted on how it goes!!!

PS- there is a ceremonial t-shirt cutting tat happens after every student solos.. n my t shirt cutting yet to happen.. once tat happens.. i will post snaps of both my solo n the t-shirt tail!
